Bombers 8, Railroaders 1. (July 23, 2017) Playoffs Round 1, Game 3. (From Dubois County) The Dubois County Bombers blew out the Fulton Railroaders 8-1 on Sunday.

Dubois County took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Andrew Tanous singled off of William Seewer, driving in one run and Camdon Mercier singled off of Seewer, driving in two runs.

The Bombers scored three runs in the eighth inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Bryce Krizan and a single by Jordan Libman.

Tyler Hagedorn earned the win for Dubois County. He went nine innings, giving up one run, six hits, and striking out eight. Seewer took the loss for Fulton. He tossed six and a third innings, giving up five runs, nine hits, striking out three, and walking one.

The Bombers had 13 hits in the game. Krizan, Tanous, Jaxson Blair, Roman Trujillo, and Libman each collected multiple hits for Dubois County. Libman led the Bombers with four runs batted in. He went 2-for-4 on the day. Dubois County didn't commit a single error in the field.

The Railroaders collected six hits. Owen Parsons and Jake Wikel each collected multiple hits for Fulton. 

The loss by the Railroaders eliminated Fulton from the playoffs and ends their season for 2017. Complete box scores Click Here.

Bombers 12, Railroaders 9. (July 22, 2017) Playoffs Round 1, Game 2. The Bombers used the long ball and 7 Railroaders errors to win in Fulton and force a third game in Round One of the playoffs. The Bombers scored early and often as the Railroaders played catch up throughout the game but fell short. The Bombers stranded 5 runners and the Railroader left 11 men on base during the game.

Dubois was lead at the plate by Zack Gray who went 4 for 5 that included 2 homeruns, a triple to produce 6 RBI total and scoring twice. Gray hit a third homerun but failed to touch home plate and was called out upon appeal. Camdon Mercier was 2 of 5 with a homerun with 2 RBI and scored 3 times. Anthony Sanchez was 2 for 4 and scored 4 runs.

Hunter Higdon was best for Fulton going 4 of 6 with 3 RBI and one run scored. Andrew Rapoza and Owen Parsons produced 2 RBI each in the effort.

Starter Jordan Cozart takes the win for 6 innings on the mound allowing 8 hits, 6 runs (5 earned), 3 walks and had 10 strikeouts. Brandon Smith picked up a save closing out the final inning.

The loss goes to Fulton starter Cody Caballero who went 3 innings giving up 9 hits, 6 earned runs, no walks and 2 strikeouts. Complete box scores Click Here.

Railroaders 11, Bombers 3. (July 21, 2017) Playoffs Round 1, Game 1. The Railroaders won big over the Bombers in Dubois County in the first game of the Playoffs. The Railroaders totaled 12 hits, 2 errors, and left 6 men on base, the Bombers had 9 hits, 4 errors and stranded 11 runners.

After 5 complete innings both teams were tied with a 2-2- score. Top of the 6th inning the Railroaders pushed ahead scoring 3 more runs with two RBI singles and a sacrifice fly.

The Bombers scored one run in the 7th off a sac fly to make the it a 5-3 score still in favor of Fulton.

In the top of the 8th the Railroaders leaped ahead putting up 6 more runs off 4 hits and 3 Bomber errors. Two RBI singles and another sacrifice fly produced 4 of the runs. The final 11-3 score was competed.

Hunter Higdon lead the Railroaders going 3 of 4, 2 RBI and 2 scores. Paul Salata was 2 for 4, one RBI and 3 runs scored. AJ Smith and Owen Parsons each had 2 hits, one RBI and scored 2 runs.

For the Bombers Zack Gray was 2 of 5 with one RBI. Bryce Keizan, Jordan Libman and Alex Alders each scored once across the plate.

Starter Pablo Arevalo gets the win for 6 innings allowing 7 hits, 2 runs (one earned), one walk and had 2 strikeouts. Hunter Smith and Seth Rayburn closed out the final 3 innings.

The loss goes to starter Caleb Wagner with 5 1/3 innings giving up 6 hits, 5 runs (4 earned), 2 walks and had 6 strikeouts.

Four Railroaders make Leaders List. (July 20, 2017) Each year at the completion of the regular season, the OVL recognizes those players who have lead the league in 8 areas of performance. This year four Railroaders have made the list in 3 of the areas. 

• Paul Salata - Most homeruns with 10 and 2nd most RBI with 38

• Zell Walker - 2nd most homeruns with 9

• Pablo Arevalo - 4th best ERA at 2.45

• Jackson South - 5th best ERA at 2.65

Playoffs begin Friday. The Railroaders are on the road Friday to begin the Playoffs at Dubois County against the Bombers. This is Round One and first game of a best-of-three series with the second game on Saturday in FULTON. Sunday will be in Dubois if necessary. Railroaders 5, Stallions 4. (July 19, 2017) The Railroaders end the final regular season game with a win over the Stallions in Mulhenberg County. 

Trailing in the game 3-0 after 6 innings, the Railroaders rallied in the 7th to score 3 runs and tie the game. Bottom of the 7th, the Stallions lead off hitter Alfred Cruz hit a homerun to retake the lead for Mulhenberg.

In the top of the 8th with two men on base and two outs, Carrington Wilson doubled for 2 RBI to give Fulton the 5-4 victory.

Will Acuff gets the win for the Railroaders for 2 innings pitched, no runs, hits, or walks and had 2 strikeouts. The loss goes to Cortland Hampton. Both teams used 5 pitchers each in the game. Complete box scores Click Here.

With the 2017 regular season completed, the Railroaders now head to Round One of the post-season Playoffs. The first best-of-three series begins on Friday, July 21 with the Railroaders on the road to Dubois County to take on the Bombers. Game two will be on Saturday in Fulton with game three in Dubois if needed.

Chiefs 4, Railroaders 3. (July 18, 2017) The Chiefs fought back from an early Fulton lead to beat the Railroaders in Paducah. The win places the Chiefs in 2nd in the West Division with one game left with the Miners trailing in 3rd who have completed their regular season play. The Chiefs need to win their final game on Wednesday against the Flash in secure 2nd seed for the Playoffs. The loss for Fulton locks them into the 4th seed in the West.

In the game, Paducah had 7 hits, 3 errors and left 8 men on base. Fulton had 10 hits, one error and stranded 10 runners.

Grant Williams gets the win for the Chiefs going 7 innings, giving up 9 hits, 3 runs (2 earned), no walks and 8 strikeouts. Bryant Claunch earned a save for 2 innings pitched to close the game.

The loss goes to reliever Jackson South for 2 2/3 innings allowing 3 hits, 3 runs (2 earned), 3 walks with no strikeouts. Hoppers 6, Railroaders 2. (July 17, 2017) (From Hopkinsville) The Hoptown Hoppers (23-15) defeated the visiting Fulton Railroaders (17-21) 6-2 on Monday night in Hopkinsville at Tiger Field. The Hoppers put up 10 hits on the night, but it would prove to be defensive miscues that cost Fulton the game with a total of 7 Railroader errors.

With one out in the bottom of the 1st inning, Zach Duvall blasted a double off the left field wall followed by an infield single by Taylor Fought. Fought then stole 2nd base, but two throwing errors allowed both Duvall and Fought to score.

Fulton responded with two runs in the top of the 2nd. Paul Salata led off the inning with a solo shot over the right field wall. With one out, former Hopper Will Acuff reached first base on a single and would later score on a fielder’s choice RBI by Owen Parsons.

Hoptown regained the lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning. A walk put lead off batter Aiden Elias on first. An error would push him to 2nd base and then he scored on an RBI single by Fought.

Nolen Milton started the bottom of the 3rd inning for the Hoppers reaching first on an error by the 3rd baseman and was advanced to 2nd on a base hit by Daryl Myers. On a sacrifice bunt from Dalton Dedas, a costly throwing error by the 1st baseman would allow Milton to score and Myers to reach 3rd. A base hit by Aharon Modlin drove in Myers for the 2nd run of the inning.

The Hoppers added another run in the 4th inning. With one out, Reese Alexiades hit a single up the middle. He then stole 2nd base and advanced to 3rd on a wild pitch. A costly error by the 2nd baseman allowed Alexiades to score.

Fulton slowed down the Hoppers with effective relief pitching from Hunter Smith and Pablo Arevalo holding them scoreless the rest of the game.

Dustin Berrong (8-1) earned his 8th win of the season for the Hoppers, establishing a new OVL record for wins. Berrong went 7 innings, giving up 2 earned runs on 5 hits with no walks and 9 strikeouts. Jesse Philp would come in and pitch 2 scoreless innings to close out the game for the Hoppers.

The Hoppers head to Madisonville tomorrow to face the Miners (17-21) while Fulton travels to Paducah to face the Chiefs (17-20). Complete box scores Click Here.

Chiefs 16, Railroaders 6. (July 16, 2017) In Paducah the Chiefs scalped five Railroader pitchers amassing 16 runs with 18 hits and left 12 more runners on base. The Railroaders managed 8 hits for their 6 runs leaving 9 on base and were never able to find their footing during the game. The win moved Paducah back into 2n place in the West and pushed Fulton to 3rd place.

Jacob Sawyers got the win for 6 innings allowing 5 hits, 3 runs (one earned), 3 walks and had 4 strikeouts.

Noah Stern takes the loss pitching the first 2 innings giving up 5 hits, 7 earned runs, 4 walks and one strikeout.

Railroaders 6, Chiefs 5. (July 15, 2017) The Railroaders rally in late innings to come from behind and beat the Chiefs 6-5 in Fulton. The Railroaders had 7 hits, one error and left 4 on base. The Chiefs got 5 hits, committed 2 errors and stranded 7 runners. The win moved Fulton into 2nd place in the West Division. Paducah slides to 4th place behind Madisonville who beat Hoptown on the same evening.

The Chiefs jumped to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the 2nd inning. Tyler Hubbard singled for a RBI and Brandon Kelley singled for 2 RBI. 

Paducah added single runs in the 5th and 6th inning to take a commanding 5-0 lead over Fulton. Nick Shumaker tripled for a RBI in the 5th, and Brandon Kelley got a RBI off a bunt single in the 6th inning. 

The Railroaders bounded back in the 7th to tie the game scoring 5 runs. Hunter Higdon lead off with a solo homerun. With a runner on first, Andrew Rapoza hit a 2 RBI homerun. Will Acuff singled and Jared Cramer doubled to put runners on 2nd and 3rd base. Brandon Hauswald followed and reached 1st base on a dropped third strike as the Chief's catcher threw a wild throw toward 3rd base that caromed into the Railroaders dugout allowing 2 runs to score. 

Bottom of the 8th inning, Hunter Higdon singled to lead off, made to 2nd on a ground out and then 3rd on a wild pitch. Higdon finally made it home on another error by the Chiefs to give Fulton the 6-5 final score.

Justin Baker gets the win in middle relieve for 3 2/3 innings giving up one earned run, 2 walks, and had 4 strikeouts. Jackson South picked up a save closing out the final inning. Fulton starter James Geiger threw for 4 1/3 innings allowing 3 hits, 4 earned runs, 2 walks and 3 strikeouts.

The loss goes to reliever Travis Regalado for one inning pitched and tagged with the go ahead unearned run, he gave up one hit, one walk and one strikeout. Paducah's starter Blake Clynes pitched 7 innings, and had strong performance the first 6 innings. Clynes allowed 6 hits, 5 runs (2 earned), no walks and had 12 strikeouts.

Bombers 3, Railroaders 2 - in 10 innings. (July 14, 2017) The Bombers used a wild pitch in the 10th inning to squeak by the Railroaders for a win in Dubois. 

In the bottom of the 3rd, the Bombers took a 2-0 lead with a RBI sacrifice fly from Roman Trujillo and a Bryce Krizan RBI single.

The Railroader finally got on the board in the 6th with a RBI single by Hunter Higdon. Top of the 8th Fulton tied the game at 2 all with a Jake Wikel solo homerun.

Jordan Libman lead off the bottom of the 10th with a double then reach 3rd base on a sacrifice bunt by Anthony Sanchez. A wild pitch then allowed Libman to cross the plate for the winning score.

Reliever Brandon Smith got the win for the Bombers, and the Railroaders' reliever Seth Rayburn suffered the loss. Complete box scores Click Here.

Railroaders 5, Bombers 1 - game 1. (July 13, 2017)  In 7 innings. The Railroaders swept the doubleheader over the Bombers in Fulton. The wins moved Fulton into 3rd place in the West Division with 6 games left of the play in the regular season.

Game One: Both teams remained scoreless through the first 3 innings of play. The Bombers scored first in the top of the 4th off a Brandon Smith RBI single driving in Alex Alders who had reached on a fielder's choice. The Railroaders answered in the bottom half of the inning scoring 2 runs from a Paul Salata RBI single and a RBI ground ruled double by Will Acuff. 

With a 2-1 lead the Railroaders added more runs in the 6th inning. With the bases loaded, Will Acuff once again doubled to produce 3 RBI to complete the final 5-1 score.

Starter Pablo Arevalo gets the win for a complete 7 innings on the mound. He allowed 6 hits, one earned run, no walks and had 5 strikeouts.

The loss goes to starter Caleb Wagner for a full 6 innings of pitching. He gave up 6 hits, 5 earned runs, 2 walks and had 11 strikeouts. Complete box scores Click Here.

Railroaders 4, Bombers 1 - game 2. (July 13, 2017)  In 7 innings. Game Two: The Railroaders total 8 hits with no errors in night cap. The Bombers got 6 hits and also played an error free game.

The Railroaders scored first in the 1st inning. Andrew Rapoza singled to drive in 2 RBI to give Fulton an early lead.

Bottom of the 3rd inning, Zell Walker hit a solo homerun, his 9th on the year, to make it a 3-0 score. In the 5th inning, Fulton's Will Acuff singled in another RBI to give Fulton a 4-0 lead.

The Bombers finally managed to get on the board in the 7th inning scoring their only run with a RBI ground out by Craig Shepherd. 

Fulton's newly acquired starter Tyler Vaughn threw for 5 innings allowing 5 hits, no runs, one walk and had 5 strikeouts, he earned the win. Jackson South completed the final 2 innings allowing 3 hits, one earned run, no walks and 3 strikeouts.

Dubois starter Logan Moseley takes the loss for 3 2/3 innings giving up 6 hits, 3 earned runs, 3 walks, and 5 strikeouts. David Ellis and Tyler Stolz combined to finish the final 2 1/3 innings. Complete box scores Click Here.

Railroaders 8, Chiefs 1. (July 12, 2017)  The Railroaders cruised over the Chiefs to win 8-1 in Fulton. The Railroaders had 10 hits and 3 errors in the game. The Chiefs produced 6 hits and committed 2 errors. The win was Fulton's first over Paducah who had beat the Railroaders in 4 previous games this season.

Fulton score one run in the 1st inning and added 2 more in the 3rd. Single runs in the 5th and 6th innings made it a 5-0 lead for the Fulton.

The Chiefs finally scored their one unearned run in the top of the 7th inning. The Railroaders answered in the bottom half scoring 2 across the plate. Fulton added their final run in the 8th to complete the final 8-1 score.

The Railroaders got solo homeruns by Hunter Hidgon, Andrew Rapoza, and Carrington Wilson to help the effort.

The Chiefs totaled 3 doubles from Blake Johnson, Tate Mathis and Tyler Hubbard who was 2 for 3 on the evening.

Starter Cody Caballero gets the win for Fulton for 7 innings pitched, one unearned run, one walk and 3 strikeouts. James Geiger closed the final 2 innings with only one hit, one walk and 3 strikeouts.

Hoppers 11, Railroaders 2. (July 11, 2017)  (From Hopkinsville) The Hoptown Hoppers (18-13) took down the Fulton Railroaders (13-18) 11-2 Tuesday night in Hopkinsville.

Aharon Modlin led off the bottom of the first with a base hit up the middle, stole second and advanced to third on a ground ball to second base. Taylor Fought drove him in on a groundball to the second baseman that was too hot to handle giving the Hoppers the early lead.

After back-to-back strikeouts looking to start the second inning, Hoptown would see the next three batters reach base. Dalton Dedas started it off with a walk, followed by singles from Aidan Elias and Modlin, driving in Dedas.

The Hoppers would do the majority of their damage in the bottom of the third with help from a trio of Railroader miscues, plating four runs. Highlights from the inning include a double by Reese Alexiades and a 2-RBI single through the left side by Nolen Milton.

After a scoreless fourth, Hoptown put up another crooked number, scoring three more. Dedas drew a walk, followed by a single from Elias and another walk by Zach Duvall, setting up Fought’s bases-clearing double over the left fielder’s head to give the Hoppers a 9-0 lead.

The Hoppers continued to add to their lead in the sixth, after the first two batters recorded outs, with three consecutive singles by Myers, Dedas and Elias plating an insurance run.

Three consecutive singles from Duvall, Fought and Alexiades helped score the final run for Hoptown to start the bottom of the seventh.

The Railroaders finally got on the board in the top of the ninth when Andrew Rapoza hit a 2-run blast over the left-field wall.

Starter Dustin Berrong (7-0) picked up the win, tying the OVL record for wins, after throwing seven shutout innings, allowing only four hits and striking out nine.

Noah Stern (0-4) was credited with the loss for the Railroaders after tossing 2 2/3 innings, allowing six runs, four earned, on five hits, while walking three and striking out three.

The Hoppers host the Madisonville Miners (15-18) tomorrow at 7pm for fan appreciation night. The Railroaders head home to host the Paducah Chiefs (15-16). Complete box scores Click Here.

Railroaders 8, Hoppers 3. (July 8, 2017)  The Railroaders defeat the Hoppers 8-3 in Fulton to win their third straight game. Fulton had 10 hits, 3 errors and left 9 men on base. Hoptown totaled 8 hits, had one error and stranded 12 runners. There are 2 games remaining between the two teams in the regular season, both in Hopkinsville with next game scheduled this coming Tuesday. 

The Railroaders scored one in the 1st inning and the Hoppers scored one in the 2nd to tie. Fulton pulled ahead in the 3rd scoring a single run and two more in the 4th to take a 4-1 lead. 

Top of the 5th inning Hoptown put up another run. In bottom of the 6th Fulton extended their lead scoring 3 runs. Both teams added a single run each in the 8th to complete the 8-3 final.

For the Railroaders: Paul Salata went 2 of 3 for 2 RBI with a double and homerun, his 9th on the season. Hunter Higdon and Zell Walker each got 2 hits along with 2 RBI each. Jake Wikel with only one hit but with walks scored 3 times across the plate.

Cody Cooper was best for Hoptown going 3 for 5 with a RBI followed by Aharon Modlin who was 1 of 4, one RBI and one score.

The Fulton win goes to starter Pablo Arevalo for 5 2/3 innings allowing 6 hits, 2 runs (one earned), 7 strikeouts and walked no batters.

Railroaders 9, Miners 8. (July 7, 2017)  The Railroaders fend off a final inning surge by the Miners to win 9-8 in Fulton. The Railroader tallied 13 hits, 2 errors and left 7 runners on base while the Miners totaled 10 hits, committed 4 errors and also stranded 7 men. 

Fulton took a 1-0 lead after two innings of play. Madisonville scored one in the top of the 3rd inning to tie only to see Fulton retake the lead in the bottom half of the inning scoring a go ahead run. Top of the 4th the Miners scored a single run to tie the game again with a 2-2 score. 

In the top of the 5th the Miners moved ahead for their only lead in the game scoring one run. The Railroaders quickly answered in the bottom half and regained the lead putting up 3 runs for 5-3 lead.

The Miners scored another single run in the 6th inning to drawn within one run of the Railroaders. Fulton then added a run in the 7th and 3 more in the 8th for a commanding 9-4 lead going into the final inning of play.

Madisonville mounted their comeback in the 9th inning scoring 4 and had the tying run on 2nd base before a fly out to center ended the game.

For the Railroaders: Hunter Higdon went 4 for 5 with 2 RBI and scored once, Andres Rapoza was 2 of 4 for 3 RBI, and Zell Walker added a solo homerun in the effort.

For the Miners: David Robins was 1 of 3 for 2 RBI and scored once, and Bradley Hull went 2 for 3, one RBI and scored twice.

Reliever James Geiger gets the win for 2 innings pitched allowing 4 hits, 2 runs (one earned), no walk and had 5 strikeouts. Noah Stern earned a save to get the final out of the game.

Starter Jack Bellinger takes loss for Madisonville for 4 1/3 innings responsible for the go ahead run for Fulton. He gave up 4 hits, tagged for 4 runs (2 earned), 4 walks and had one strikeout. Complete box scores Click Here.

Railroaders 6, Stallions 1. (July 4, 2017)  The Railroaders broke a 6 game losing streak after beating the Stallions in Fulton in front of 482 Fans gathered for baseball and fireworks. Fulton totaled 13 hits in the 6-1 victory with Mulhenberg County getting 7 hits, and both teams committed one error.

The Railroaders scored 3 runs in the 3rd inning to start. Paul Salata singled to produce 2 RBI, and Zell Walker scored from third on the only Stallions’ error. 

The Stallions' single run came in the top of the 5th inning. Ian Walters got a RBI on a ground out as a runner scored from third base.

Fulton score a single run in the 7th from a Zell Walker RBI single. Bottom of the 8th the Railroaders added 2 more runs. A.J. Smith hit a solo homerun and Owen Parsons contributed a RBI double. Fulton’s scoring was complete.

The win goes to starter Kody Davidson pitching 5.33 innings allowing 5 hits, one earned run, one walk and had 4 stirkeouts. Reliever Jackson South finished the 3.67 innings of play giving up just 2 hits and one walk, he earns a save.

The loss for the Stallions goes to Hunter Lacefield for 6 innings handing out 7 hits, tagged for 3 runs (2 earned), one walk and striking out 6 batters. Complete box scores Click Here.

OVL All Stars announced. (July 4, 2017) The OVL has released the roster for the 2017 All Star Teams. Seven Railroaders have been selected for West Division team, they are: Paul Salata 1B, Zell Walker 3B, Jake Wikel OP, Taylor Bobo LHP, Jackson South RHP and Pablo Arevalo RHP. Congrats to these Railroaders and all the OVL All Stars for their recognition for the 2017 season.

Miners 11, Railroaders 4. (July 3, 2017)  The Miners took control of the game in Madisonville and handed the Railroaders their 6th straight loss. After the first 2 innings the Miners held a 5-1 score. Madisonville added 2 runs each in the 5th through 7th innings to complete their run total. Fulton managed 2 runs in the 9th falling well short of what was needed.

Alex Carignan was best for the Miners at the plate. He was 3 of 4, 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. Will Acuff lead the Railroaders going 4 for 4, one RBI and scored 2 runs.

Madisonville's starter Michael Sebby gets the win for 5 innings pitched allowing 4 hits, 2 runs (one earned), 3 walks and had 7 strikeouts. The Miners used 3 additional pitchers to completed the game.

The loss goes to Fulton's starter Carter Bair for only one inning giving up 3 hits, 3 earned runs, one walk and one strikeout. The Railroaders sent 5 more pitchers in to finish the game. Complete box scores Click Here.

Bombers @ Railroaders Postponed. (July 2, 2017) Today's game between the Dubois County Bombers and Fulton Railroaders in Fulton has been postponed due to poor field condition.. The game has been rescheduled on for Thursday, July 13 in Fulton as part of a doubleheader, 7 innings each game with first game start at 5:00 p.m. CT.

Bombers 5, Railroaders 2. (July 1, 2017) (From Dubois County) Alex Alders drove in four on three hits to lead the Dubois County Bombers past the Fulton Railroaders 5-2 on Saturday. Alders drove in runs on a home run in the third and a home run in the fifth.

Cole Berry earned the win for Dubois County. He went five and a third innings, giving up one run, three hits, and striking out nine. Three relievers helped the Bombers close out the victory. Brandon Smith threw one and two-thirds innings. Logan Moseley recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Bombers. Noah Stern took the loss for Fulton. He threw five innings, allowing four runs, six hits, and striking out seven.

Dubois County had nine hits in the game. Alex Alders and Craig Shepherd each collected multiple hits for the Bombers.

Miners 1, Railroaders 0. (June 30, 2017) In a rain shorten game the Miners win 1-0 over the Railroaders after 4 1/2 innings in Madisonville. One unearned run scored in the bottom of the 4th off an error was enough for Madisonville as the rain began in the bottom of the 5th then called by the umpires. Complete box scores Click Here.

Miners 11, Railroaders 6. (June 29, 2017) The Miners handed the Railroaders their third straight loss in Fulton with a convincing 11-6 victory. The Miners 2nd place standing in the West remains as they keep pace 2.5 games behind the leading Hoppers who beat the Chiefs in Paducah.

The first inning of play saw both teams tie up with scoring one run each. Top of the 3rd the Miners pulled ahead scoring 3 runs. The Railroaders made made close scoring two runs in the 4th inning off a 2 RBI homerun by Zell Walker to make a 4-3 score in favor of the Miners.

Madisonville punched ahead in the top of the 5th scoring 7 runs and never looked back. Fulton managed a single run the 6th off an Andrew Rapoza solo homerun, then added two more in the 8th for the final 11-6 score.

For the Miners; David Robins lead the way going 2 for 3, 2 scores and 4 RBI, followed by Robert Strader who was 2 for 4, one score and 2 RBI.

Zell Walker was best for the Railroaders going 2 for 4, one score and 4 RBI.

Madisonville's starter Spencer Woods gets the win for 6 innings pitched, allowing 4 earned runs, 4 hits, one walk and had 5 strikeouts.

The loss goes to Railroader starter Cody Caballero for 4 innings on the mound giving up 10 runs (9 earned), 12 hits, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts.

Chiefs 8, Railroaders 3. (June 28, 2017) The Chiefs win in Fulton to complete a two game sweep of the Railroaders. The victory for Paducah moved them into 3rd position in the West standings and sent Fulton to bottom in the division. The Chiefs had 13 hits, one error and left 10 men on base. The Railroaders totaled 10 hits, had 3 errors and stranded 13 runners.

The Chiefs scored 3 runs in the first inning for an early lead and added 4 more scores in the 4th to extend to a 7-0 lead. The Railroaders finally scored 3 runs in the 5th only to see the Chiefs add another run in the 6th to complete the 8-3 final.

Blake Johnson lead Paducah at the plate going 3 for 5 to include a 2 RBI homerun and a double, and he scored 3 times. Tate Mathis was 4 for 5 with one score, and Travis Regalado 1 of 4 for 2 RBI.

Will Acuff was best for Fulton for 3 or 4, scoring all the Railroaders runs with a 3 RBI homerun.

Starter Grant Williams get the win for 5 innings pitched allowing 7 hits, 3 earned runs, 2 walks and had 6 strikeouts. Joshua Scheer and Colton Easterwood closed out the game pitching 2 innings each.

Chiefs 9, Railroaders 7. (June 27, 2017) The Railroaders remain winless to the Chiefs after losing their third game this season. The home team Chiefs scored 9 runs (only 4 earned), had 8 hits and no errors in the game. The Railroaders totaled 14 hits, 7 earned runs and committed 3 costly errors. 

Caleb Reinhardt gets the win for 6 innings pitched allowing 9 hits, 5 earned runs, one walk and 6 strikeouts. Carter Bair takes the loss for Fulton for 4 1/3 innings, 5 hits, 6 runs (4 earned), 4 walks and 4 strikeouts.

Railroaders 7, Stallions 6. (June 26, 2017) The Railroaders came from behind again to beat the Stallions in Fulton and win their third straight game. The win moved Fulton into second place in the West a half game ahead of Madisonville who loss to Paducah. The Railroaders remain 2 games behind the Hoppers as they beat the East Division Bombers.

After the first two innings of play the Stallions lead 5-1 having used 3 Railroader errors to help score 4 unearned runs. The Railroaders scored another run in the 5th to make it a 5-2 game still in favor of the Stallions.

Bottom of the 7th inning the Railroaders broke out to take the lead scoring 4 runs on 5 hits and 2 Stallion errors  Fulton added an insurance run in the 8th to give them a 7-5 going into the 9th inning.

Top of 9th the with 2 outs, Chris Gambert hit a solo homerun to close the gap before the final batter struck out to end the game.

Fulton totaled 12 hits on the evening and had 3 errors in the field. At the plate, Andrew Rapoza was 3 of 5 with a triple, one RBI and scored twice. Paul Salata went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 RBI and scored once. 

The Stallions had 9 hits and committed 5 errors. Along with Gambert's homerun, Michael Brown added a 2 RBI homer in the effort.

Reliever William Seewer gets the win pitching the final 3 innings allowing 2 hits, one earned run, one walk and had 4 strikeouts. Starter Noah Stern pitched for 6 innings with 7 hits, 5 runs (one earned), 2 walks and 6 strikeouts.

Railroaders 3, Oilers 2. (June 25, 2017) (From Owensboro) The Owensboro Oilers lost late and hard to the Fulton Railroaders in Owensboro on Sunday night. The final score was Oilers 2 to Railroaders 3.

The Oilers got off to an early lead with two runs in the bottom of the 1st inning. Jakob Shuler led off the game with a double, then moved to third base on a balk call.One out later, Chase Andrews was hit by a pitch. Shuler scored and Andrews went to third base on a RBI single from Tanner Kehrer. Andrews came in on a wild pitch. At the end of one complete inning the score was 2-0 in favor of the Oilers.

At the end of seven complete innings the score was still 2-0, thanks in large part to the timely effectiveness of both starters. For Owensboro Koby Silvy went 5.67 innings of shutout baseball, though he walked seven batters, he had as many strikeouts at effective times. For Fulton, Pablo Arevalo went six innings, using six strikeouts against two walks to allow no more than the two runs scored in the 1st inning.

The Railroaders tied the game with two runs in the top of the 8th inning.Cody Mitchell was hit by a pitch leading off and Owen Parsons followed with a walk. A wild pitch moved both runners up a base. Two strikeouts followed before a defensive error on a ground ball that might have ended the frame allowed both Mitchell and Parsons to score instead. Fulton took the lead with one run in the top of the 9th inning. Zell Walker led off hit by a pitch, and Paul Salata reached on an error in the outfield, putting runners at first and second bases. A sacrifice bunt, moved both men up a base. Walker scored just ahead of a tag at the plate off a RBI sacrifice fly by Mitchell.

In the bottom of the 9th inning, the Oilers lead off hitter reached, and one out later, a single moved the potential tying run to second base, and a wild pitch moved that run to third base with the potential winning run at second base. Back-to-back strikeouts squelched the rally and ended the game 3 to 2 in the guests' favor.

Railroaders 12, Oilers 5. (June 24, 2017) The slow starting Railroaders waited until mid-game before powering past the visiting Oilers to win 12-5 in Fulton. The Railroaders had 14 hits, stranded 10 runners and had 3 errors, while the Oilers totaled 9 hits, left 5 on base and committed 4 errors.

Fulton scored one run in the first innings for an early lead. Owensboro waited until the 4th inning before scoring 3 runs from 4 hits and one Railroader error. Chase Andrews doubled for a RBI and Andrew Kirkland also doubled for 2 RBI. 

Top of the 5th, the Oilers added 2 more runs from two RBI singles to take a 5-1 lead. The Railroaders answered with one run in the bottom half off a solo homerun by Paul Salata to make it a 5-2 score.

Bottom of the 6th inning, the Railroaders exploded scoring 6 runs off 7 hits and 2 Oiler errors. Hunter Hidgon began with a 3 RBI homerun followed by Jake Wikel with a solo homer. Two more RBI singles made it an 8-5 Fulton lead.

The Railroaders extended their lead in the 7th and 8th scoring 2 runs in each inning to make the final 12-5 score.

Reliever Jackson South gets the win for 4 innings pitched allowing 3 hits, no runs or walks, and had 4 strikeouts. Starter Cody Caballero went 5 innings giving up 6 hits, tagged for 5 runs (3 earned), no walks and 4 strikeouts.

Owensboro’s starter Michael Rotenberry takes the loss for 5 innings of work and was relieved in the top of the 6th inning responsible for 8 hits, 6 runs (5 earned) 4 walks and had 6 strikeouts.

Railroaders @ Hoppers is rained out. (June 23, 2017) The game tonight, Friday, between the Railroaders and Hoppers in Hopkinsville has been postponed due to weather and field condition. The game has been rescheduled on July 5 in Hoptown.

Hoppers 10, Railroaders 5. (June 22, 2017) The Hoppers powered past the home team Railroaders and handed Fulton their fourth straight loss. Both teams had 7 hits each and left 12 runners each on base. The Railroaders committed 4 errors in the game while the Hoppers had 2 errors. Hoptown had 5 earned runs and were handed 5 unearned runs by Fulton.

Reese Alexiades lead the Hoppers at the plate going 5 for 6 with 5 RBI that included a double, and a 3 RBI homerun. The Railroaders' only highlight at the plate was a solo homerun by Hunter Higdon.

Hoptown starter Luke Brown threw a strong game for 5 innings earning the win as the pitcher of record when the Hoppers took the lead in the top of the 6th inning. Reliever Jesse Philp earned a save for 4 innings to finish the game.

Flash 6, Railroaders 4. (June 21, 2017) For the second night in a row the Flash took out the Railroaders, this time in Fulton. The loss moved Fulton into third place in the West standings with Madisonville moving from last to second with their win over Muhlenberg. The Flash remain in second place in the East still 5.5 games behind leader and winning Dubois County who beat Paducah.

After 4 innings of play, Henderson took a commanding 5-1 lead. The Railroaders chipped away at the lead scoring single runs in the 5th and 6th innings to draw within 2 runs. The Flash answered with another run in the 7th to make a 6-3 score. 

In the bottom of the 9th, the Railroaders scored one and put the tying runs on 2nd and 3rd base with no outs. The Flash sent in Brandon Diaz who struck out the next three batters to secure the win.

Aaron Euler was best for Henderson at the plate going 2 of 5 with a 3 RBI homerun. Zach Smith added a solo homerun in the effort.

For Fulton, Jared Cramer had a double and scored twice and Cody Mitchell doubled for a RBI. AJ Smith was 2 of 3 and one RBI.

Starter Marty Coursey gets the win for 5 innings allowing 6 hits, 3 runs (2 earned), 2 walks and had 5 strikeouts. Diaz picked up a save.

Flash 9, Railroaders 6. (June 20, 2017) The Flash held off a Railroader comeback to win in Henderson on Tuesday. Both teams combined for 29 hits, Flash 15 - Railroaders 14, and each had 2 errors each. After 3 innings, Henderson took a commanding 7-0 lead. Fulton rallied in the 5th and 6th innings to score 6 runs. The Flash added 2 more insurance runs in the 7 to secure the victory.

Joe Logsdon and Jacob Bowles each had homeruns in the game for the Flash. Railroaders Cory Price and Jared Cramer hit homeruns for Fulton. 

Flash starter Christian Beckley gets the win for 5 innings pitched allowing 6 hits, 2 earned runs with no walks and had 8 strikeouts. Jacob Tapp eanred a save finishing the game. The loss went to starter Noah Stern for 2 2/3 innings being hit 8 times allowing 7 runs (6 earned), 3 walks and had 3 strikeouts.

Stallions 13, Railroaders 9. (June 17, 2017) The Railroaders were unable to match the Stallions bats in Muhlenberg on Saturday. The Stallions produced 17 hits with the Railroaders getting 11 total. The Railroaders chased the Stallions throughout the game but could not overcome the Stallions lead.

Railroaders 6, Hoppers 3. (June 16, 2017) The Railroaders swept their 2 game series with the Hoppers on Friday in Fulton. Hoptown now has a single game lead in the West division over the Railroaders. Paducah is 2 games behind the leader after beating Madisonville who is 3 games back in the West.

The Hoppers took an early one run lead when Zach Duvall hit the first game pitch over the center field wall. The Railroaders answered in the bottom of the first inning scoring 2 runs off a 2 RBI homer by Paul Salata, his 7th and leads in the league. 

Hoptown tied the game in the 3rd when Michael Rhea singled then score on an Aharon Modin RBI double. Bottom of the 3rd Jake Wikel singled and later score on a Hunter Higdon RBI single to give Railroaders a 3-2 lead.

Fulton pushed the lead forward in the 5th inning. Wikel led off with a double and Paul Salata was intentionally walked (for the second time). Zell Walker followed with a 3 RBI homerun to make it a 6-2 score.

The Railroaders brought in a fresh pitching arm in the top of the 8th inning. Aidan Elias swung at the first pitch to start the inning and hit a solo homerun. After a ground out, the Hoppers loaded the bases on an error, single and walk before reliever Justin Fowls struck out the next two batters. Scoring was now complete.

Fulton’s starter Taylor Bobo picked up his second win on the season going 7 innings allowing 4 hits, 2 earned runs, no walks and had 8 strikeouts. Fowlks finished the final 2 innings with 2 hits, one run, one walk, and 3 strikeouts.

Railroaders 13, Hoppers 7. (June 15, 2017) (From Hopkinsville) The Hoptown Hoppers (8-5) hosted the Fulton Railroaders (6-7) on Thursday night at Hopkinsville High School’s Tiger Field and lost 13-7. Brian Musielak (2-0) earned his second win of the season tonight, while Dalton Utley, pitching in relief, got the loss for the Hoppers.

The Railroaders struck first scoring one run in the 1st inning. Jake Wikel would lead off the inning with a single and later score on an RBI single by Paul Salata after advancing to 2nd on a stolen base.

Hoptown quickly responded with a 4-spot in the bottom half of the inning. After Aiden Elias reached first on a hit by pitch and Reese Alexiades had a base hit, Ryan Hatten would drive them both in with a home run to left field. Immediately following Hatten, Nolen Milton took one to opposite field for a solo home run taking an early 4-1 lead. Milton would finish the night 4 for 5 with 3 base hits and a home run.

Fulton would put two more runs on the board in the 3rd inning. With one out, Will Acuff hit a single and would be driven in on a 2-out home run by Salata to deep right field. Salata would finish the night 4 for 4 with 5 RBI’s and 2 home runs.

The Railroaders extended their lead with runs in the 5th, 6th and 7th innings. Hunter Higdon would score the only run in the 5th inning after reaching 1st on a single and being knocked in on a ground out. Fulton exploded for 3 more runs in the 6th, highlighted by an RBI triple by Kody Davidson, followed by a 2-run home run by Cory Price. Two more runs would score in the 7th inning after the Hoppers would load the bases on 3 consecutive walks. One run would score on a wild pitch and the other on a bases loaded hit batsman.

The Hoppers chipped away at the Fulton lead in the 7th inning scoring 2 runs. Mike Rhea reached 1st on a fielder’s choice and would advance to 2nd with a single from Aharon Modlin. After both runners advanced on a ground ball, they would be driven in by a double from Alexiades down the right field line.

Unfortunately for the Hoppers, Fulton continued their dominance at the plate, scoring 2 more runs in the 8th inning on a 2-run home run by Salata, his 2nd blast of the night.

Hoptown scored one more run in the 8th inning on an RBI single by Rhea, driving in Milton who lead off the inning with a single.

Fulton scored 2 more runs in the 9th inning on a string of singles and a walk highlighted by an RBI single by Acuff and a sacrifice fly by Andrew Rapoza.

Oilers 8, Railroaders 7. (June 14, 2017) The Oilers broke a tied game in the top of the 9th and held on to beat the Railroaders in Fulton. The Oilers extend their winning streak to 4 games while the Railroader have now dropped 2 straight.

Owensboro took an early lead scoring 4 runs in the top of the first inning. Fulton climb back into the game scoring single runs in the 1st and 2nd innings. The Railroaders tied the game in the 3rd scoring 2 runs and then took the lead in 4th with 2 more scores.

Both teams remain silent until the 8th inning when the Oilers chalked up 3 runs only to have the Railroader tie the game up in the bottom half scoring a single run. 

In the top of the 9th the Oilers used 2 doubles to retake an 8-7 lead. Bottom of the inning the Railroaders had loaded the bases with one out when the Oilers turned a double play to end the game.

For Owensboro; Cody Jackson hit a 3 RBI homerun and Tanner Kehrer went 4 of 5 for 3 RBI, scored twice and had the game winning RBI.

For Fulton; Homeruns were produced by Paul Salata for 3 RBI, Hunter Higdon for 2 RBI and Zell Walker a solo shot.

Oilers 4, Railroaders 0. (June 13, 2017) The Oilers handed the Railroaders their first shutout of the season at Owensboro. Fulton had 5 hits total and one error, Owensboro produced 6 hits and played error free ball. Payton Griffin earned the win and Noah Stern takes the loss. Railroaders 5, Flash 2. (June 11, 2017) The Railroaders beat the Flash, the Hoppers lose to the Oilers as do the Chiefs to the Bombers, Fulton is now in second place and one game behind Hoptowm in the West Division. 

The victory for Fulton on Sunday in Henderson was the fourth in a row for the Railroaders. Both Will Acuff and AJ Smith hit homeruns for a total of 5 RBI to produce all the runs for Fulton.

Railroaders 14, Flash 9. (June 10, 2017) The Railroaders won their third game in a row beating the Henderson Flash in Fulton. With only 8 hits total, Fulton took advantage of 12 walks issued by the Flash to assist in the victory. Henderson doubled Fulton hits with 16 of their own, but stranded 11 on base while the Railroaders left 6 on board.

For Fulton, Andrew Rapoza went 2 for 3 with 4 RBI and scored once. Zell Walker added a homerun for 2 RBI.

Henderson's Aaron Euler was best for the Flash going 3 of 5 with 5 RBI and a homerun. Paul Haupt was 3 for 4 and crossed the plate 3 times.

Jackson South gets the win for Fulton pitching 4 innings in relief of starter Cody Caballero who was pulled after 4 innings on the mound. 

The loss goes to Flash's starter Jordan Kelly for only threw for 1 2/3 innings giving up 5 hits, 7 runs (6 earned), 4 walks and had one strikeout.

Railroaders 13, Miners 6. (June 9, 2017) The Railroaders scored early and often to over power the Miners with their victory in Madisonville. It was a night for the long ball that began with the first pitch when Jake Wikel hit a homerun to start the game.. 

Seven of 12 total hits for Fulton were for extra bases. Railroader new comer Will Acuff was 3 of 5 with a double and two triples, scoring twice and had 3 RBI. Paul Salata added a homerun, his third on the season. 

The Miners kept pace with 10 total hits, but left 9 men stranded on base. Jacob Richard was 3 for 3, two scores and a RBI. Alex Carignan drove in 3 RBI going 2 for 3.

Fulton adds another pitcher.  The Railroaders have signed Will Acuff from the University of Alabama Huntsville. He is a freshman, 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. Will's a right handed pitcher who can bat left.

Railroaders 6, Miners 3. (June 8, 2017) The Railroaders got back on a winning track beating the Miners in Fulton. Madisonville had 4 errors which contributed to 5 unearned runs for the Railroaders who were error free for the game.. Both teams matched up with 10 hits each.

Jake Wikel and Cory Price each produced a RBI double at the plate for Fulton. Madisonville's Darrell Freeman and Michael Andrew Hawks each hit homeruns with Hawks going 3 of 5 for 2 RBI.

Fulton's starter Carter Bair gets the win throwing 5 2/3 innings giving up 6 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks and had 7 strikeouts. Noah Stern pitched for 3 innings in middle relief and Pablo Arevalo earned a save striking out the last batter with the bases loaded.

Chiefs 11, Railroaders 4. (June 7, 2017) (From Paducah) Cody Clark, Blake Johnson and Tate Mathis had three hits apiece as the Paducah Chiefs pounded 14 hits and won for the third straight game in an 11-4 victory over the Fulton Railroaders in front of 585 fans Wednesday night at Brooks Stadium.

After Fulton took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on four singles, the Chiefs went ahead for good with a four-run third. Nick Shumaker, Dixon Craft and Mathis each had two-out run-scoring singles during the frame.

After Fulton plated a run in the fourth, the Chiefs added two runs in their fourth and five in the fifth, as Mathis and Clark slugged back-to-back doubles to start the rally which produced a 10-3 lead.

Clark closed the scoring with an RBI single in the eighth.

Blake Clynes (1-0) earned the win, allowing four runs in 5 1/3 innings. Austin Shaw, Tyler Horsley and Travis Regaldo finished with scoreless relief.

Chiefs 5, Railroaders 2 . (June 6, 2017) (From Fulton) Five unearned runs for the Paducah Chiefs' in the first two innings were enough to beat the home team Fulton Railroaders on Tuesday. The Chiefs took advantage of errors and passed balls by the Railroaders to score their win.

Hoppers 16, Railroaders 8. (June 4, 2017) (From Fulton) The Hoppers continued their winning ways beating the Railroaders in Fulton. While the Railroaders were able to keep the final scores close in their first 3 games, they couldn’t control the Hoptown bats on Sunday, which produced 17 hits total. The Railroader also committed 6 errors contributing to 6 unearned runs for the Hoppers.

Hoptown jumped to a 2-0 lead in the first 2 innings before Fulton took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the second off a grand slam homerun by Carrington Wilson. The Hoppers regained the lead for good in the fourth inning scoring 7 runs off five hits. With the score 9-4, the Railroaders added 2 runs each in the fourth and seventh innings. The Hoppers continued to score runs in the fifth and seventh through ninth innings to complete their 16 total.

Starting pitcher Alex Walker earned the win for Hoptown for 6 innings of work. Seth Rayburn takes the loss for Fulton for 1 1/3 innings in relief. Hoppers 10, Railroaders 9. (June 3, 2017) In 10 innings. (From Hopkinsville) The Hoptown Hoppers (3-0) defeat the Fulton Railroaders (1-2) in 10 innings by a score of 10-9 Saturday night in Hopkinsville. Zach Duvall’s walk-off double to right center scored Ryan Hatten from second base, who previously reached on a hit by pitch to lead off the inning, then a sac bunt pushed him to second. Jesse Philp (1-0) picked up the win after pitching 1 2/3 innings, allowing no runs and no hits while walking two.

Fulton got on the board first with three unearned runs in the 3rd inning following two defensive miscues. The Hoppers would put one on the board in the bottom of the frame after a leadoff single, a walk, a balk, and a sac fly from Aharon Modlin scoring Taylor Fought. Hoptown would rally for 6 runs in the bottom of the 4th, bringing 12 to the plate. The 6-run inning was highlighted by a 2-RBI single from Cody Cooper and a RBI single from Michael Rhea.

Both teams added a run in the 5th inning, highlighted by Zach Duvall’s inside-the-park homerun. The Hoppers tallied another run in the 7th after an RBI single from Modlin scored Rhea.

The Railroaders would tack on a run in the 8th after two base hits and a RBI double by Zell Walker. Fulton would then tie it in dramatic fashion in the top of the 9th with a grand slam from Paul Salata.

Jesse Philp would replace Will Acuff to record the final two outs in the 9th and pitch the 10th. Hunter Higdon (0-1) would ultimately receive the loss after starting the 10th inning, hitting a batter and giving up the game-winning double.

Railroaders 16, Miners 15. (June 2, 2017) In 10 innings, game time 4.5 hours. In a seesaw battle for the lead, the Railroaders overcame a 5 run deficit in the bottom of the 10th inning with 2 outs and scored 6 runs for the win. The game was capped off by a walk-off grand slam homerun by Brandon Hauswald. Both teams combined for 26 hits that included a total of 8 homeruns, 6 of them by Fulton.  

For Fulton: Zell Walker had 3 homeruns (one grand slam) and a total of 8 RBI. Hauswald was 2 of 6 for 5 RBI. Paul Salata and Cody Mitchell each added a homer. For Madisonville: Hunter James hit 2 homeruns for a 5 RBI total. 

The Railroaders used six pitchers and the Miners sent five to mound before the evening was complete. Zell Walker (corrected) gets the win as the pitcher of record when Fulton took the lead. Miners 8, Railroaders 7. (June 1, 2017) (From Madisonville) The Miners started off the 2017 season with an 8-7 win at Elmer Kelley Stadium over the Fulton Railroaders. Ryan Brooks belted a grand slam to put Madisonville in the lead, and Logan Jarvis hit a two-run bomb earlier in the game.

Miner hurler Carson Imes picked up the Win in relief of starter Austin Henrich, with Jack Bellinger collecting the first save of the year. Nicholas Hutchison pitched two innings before handing the game off to Bellinger for the final inning.

The Railroaders were paced at the plate by Cory Price and Paul Salata, both of whom went 3-4 on the night. Salata drove in three runs to lead Fulton.

Jackson South took the Loss for Fulton, with starter Taylor Bobo earning a No Decision. Bobo pitched 4 complete innings, striking out seven Miners before giving way to South. Noah Stern pitched two shutout innings for the Railroaders as well.. Complete box scores Click Here.
